At TUTO Lernhilfe (Tutoring), children from 6 to 14 years old receive task supervision and competent learning assistance. At TUTO Sprachschatz (Vocabulary), kindergarten kids can playfully learn German.
By creating a positive and encouraging atomsphere, the knowledge is broadened and the development of the children is positively supported. While learning together, the children experience that they are respected and fully appreciated. At TUTO, respectful and appreciating interactions are strongly valued. An important factor for the joint effort is a good cooperation with parents and teachers of the participating children.

HOUSE RULES for the TUTO Learning Support Centre and the TUTO Language Centre
These house rules apply to all employees, children and young people, guardians and persons staying in die Villa of the Marienheim Foundation. The Marienheim Foundation is the organisation responsible for the ‘Lernhilfe’ and ‘Sprachschatz’ programmes.
Contact persons/responsibilities:
The Marienheim Foundation is responsible for the learning aid and language centre.
The contact persons are the head of the learning support and language centre, the group leaders of the language centre and the learning guides.
Enrolment of a child:
A child can be enrolled by completing the enrolment form in person and/or handing it in or sending it by email to tuto@marienheim.at. Enrolment is ranked according to the date of enrolment and the child is admitted chronologically by date and by age (depending on the age group in which a group place becomes available).
Entry to the building is permitted for
• families participating in the ‘Sprachschatz’ programme 15 minutes before the start of the lesson, i.e. from 12.45 pm, 1.15 pm or 1.45 pm.
Until the start of the lesson at 1.00 pm, 1.30 pm or 2.00 pm, the guardians are responsible for supervising their children! Guardians must ensure that the child is collected at the agreed time, either by them or by a person they have authorised.
• all other children taking part in the ‘Lernhilfe’ programme from 3.00 pm (or 2.30 pm for children in the ground-floor room). Guardians must ensure that the child is collected at the agreed time, either by them or by a person they have authorised, if the child is not permitted to go home alone.
Entrance door Villa:
The front door is locked without exception. The guardians of the children in the ‘Sprachschatz’ programme can be admitted by pressing the doorbell button for the relevant ‘Sprachschatz’ room.
Children in the ‘Lernhilfe’ programme may enter after ringing the bell at the door of their ‘Lernhilfe’ room and announcing their name via the intercom.
Behaviour in the Marienheim:
• Anyone who is not a member of staff, a participant in the ‘Lernhilfe’ or ‘Sprachschatz’ programmes, or a guardian of a child on one of these programmes, must first report to the management. The management will endeavour to respond to their enquiry. Every member of staff is authorised and obliged to ask unknown persons about their concerns. In the event of non-compliance, the management is authorised to issue a house ban!
• The authorised means of communication with staff members, guardians and children are email, text messages and WhatsApp. It is, of course, also possible to make contact by telephone or to arrange a face-to-face meeting (see the section: ‘How to contact us’).
• Physical and psychological violence against children and adults is not tolerated under any circumstances at the Marienheim Foundation.
• Photos and videos may only be taken with the explicit consent of the individuals concerned and may only be published with written permission (from guardians in the case of children). Under no circumstances may they be used for private purposes.
• For safety reasons and to protect all children and adults, it is forbidden to bring weapons of any kind, objects resembling weapons, knives or any other dangerous items onto the premises.
• It is forbidden to disseminate messages of a religious or political nature within the learning centre!
• Please ensure that the entire Marienheim site is kept clean and tidy. We ensure that all rooms used for the ‘Lernhilfe’ programme, the relaxation areas, the toilets and the outdoor area are kept clean. We dispose of waste in the designated bins and separate it into paper, organic waste, metals/plastics and general waste as much as possible. In the event of deliberate soiling and/or damage, the cost of cleaning and repairs shall be borne by the person responsible or their legal guardians.
• Smoking is prohibited on the entire premises (with the exception of the designated smoking area)! The use of ‘Snooze’, ‘All-White-Pouches’, ‘Chew Bags’ or similar products is not permitted!
• Everyone at the Marienheim Foundation serves as a role model for the children. They ensure that the premises are kept clean, tidy, quiet and that everyone behaves politely.
Behaviour in the corridors and stairwells:
• When entering and leaving the building, and when visiting the toilets, please keep noise to a minimum!
• Running in the corridors and stairwells is not allowed!
• The ball play area is reserved exclusively for children taking part in the ‘Lernhilfe’ programme during the 10-minute break; at all other times, it must be left for younger siblings!
• Children are only permitted to enter the grounds of the Marienheim Foundation (garden) immediately before the start of the learning support session!
• The rear area of the garden is cordoned off and children must not enter it!
Obligation to report:
In the event of illness or absence of a child enrolled in the ‘Sprachschatz’ programme or the ‘Lernhilfe’ programme, the TUTO management or the leader of the relevant ‘Sprachschatz’ group, or the relevant teaching assistant, must be informed immediately. In accordance with the Infection Protection Act, any illnesses that are subject to mandatory notification must be reported.
Any allergies must be declared when the child is enrolled (particularly food allergies)!
Reachability of the guardians:
Any change to parents’ or guardians’ telephone numbers must be reported without delay to ensure they can be contacted in the event of an emergency! Similarly, any change of address must be reported as soon as possible.
Food and drinks:
• Eating is not permitted during ‘Lernhilfe’ programme hours!
• Only drinks contained in water bottles brought by the children are permitted (no cans)!
Waiting area:
The guardians of children in the ‘Sprachschatz’ programme may wait with their children’s siblings in the garden, in any spare rooms used by the ‘Lernhilfe’ programme, in the corridors or in the motor skills room in the basement; parents or carers of children in the ‘Lernhilfe’ programme may also stay with their children’s siblings in the garden or in the motor skills room in the basement.
Garden:
The ball play area is open from 12.45 pm to 3.45 pm for families of children in the ‘Sprachschatz’ programme and for families of children in the ‘Lernhilfe’ programme who are waiting.
From 3.45 pm to 4.30 pm, the play area is available to primary school pupils taking part in the ‘Lernhilfe’ programme during their 10-minute break. From 5.00 pm, it is closed and everyone must leave the premises!
Warnings regarding breaches of the house rules will be recorded in writing. In the event of a serious breach, immediate exclusion from TUTO Lernhilfe or TUTO Sprachschatz will be imposed!
Closing times:
The Lernhilfe is closed on the first two days at the start of the school year and in the last two weeks of the school year, as well as on the last day before the Christmas holidays, term holidays, Easter holidays and before Whitsun. Please enquire in good time about individual closing days according to the current notice board (e.g. regarding window days)
Liability:
We accept no liability for personal belongings, money or valuables brought to the ‘Sprachschatz’ and ‘Lernhilfe’!
Parents/guardians are liable for any damage caused by their children.
Fire safety regulations:
The fire safety regulations on display and the signposted emergency exits must be observed.
Warnings regarding a breach of the house rules will be recorded in writing (1st, 2nd and 3rd warning). Serious offences will result in immediate exclusion from TUTO Lernhilfe or TUTO Sprachschatz!
